Gift voucher use

Gift vouchers are to be redeemed within 1 year of purchase. Vouchers clearly state how many hours work you will receive and the type of work. Any additional work requested by the client or work which goes over the hours stated on the voucher will be billed at an hourly rate of $250 plus GST per hour, given that this is general tree work. If work required is more complex such as stump grinding or land clearance then a written quote may be given detailing the price of the work, once accepted by the client the work can commence.

Quotation

All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date stated on each quotation, any acceptance of a quotation after 30 days may require another quotation to be conducted.

Payment

All contracts are accepted on the basis of full payment on the completion of work or within invoice term if agreed prior. Interest may be charged on amount owing after the due date at a rate of 2.5% per month. Any expenses, disbursements and legal cost incurred by Treemendous Tree Service in the enforcement of any rights contained in this contract shall be paid by the customer, including any solicitor’s fees or debt collection fees.

Access

The tree owner accepts full responsibility for their driveways and paths and understands that to carry out work specified in the contract, it may be necessary to use heavy machinery that could damage driveways and paths. The contractor will not be liable for the damage caused to driveways and paths.

Insurance cover

All work carried out by the contractor is covered by $5,000,000 public liability insurance for damages to persons or property that may result in the implementation of the contract.

Escape clause

Treemendous Tree Service Limited reserves the right to withdraw from any contract due to unforeseen circumstances arising.

Job Cancellation by client

If the client is to cancel a confirmed job within 24 hours of job commencement this will incur a fee of 30% which is payable by the client.

Ownership of Trees

Client guarantees that the trees are their own or the permission has been obtained to work on trees owned by a third party.

Complaints

Any complaints which may arise from the work performed under any contract arising from the acceptance of the spec/quote/price must be made within seven days of completion of contract.

Underground services

Unless the exact location of underground pipes, wires or cables has been supplied to us prior to the contract, the contractor shall be under no liability for any damage caused to them under contract. The client shall be solely liable for any such damage.

Transplanting and Planting

Treemendous Tree Service will use best practice while transplanting and planting trees but cannot guarantee the survival of the transplanted/planted tree/trees and will not be liable for any financial reimbursement for the relocation or loss.

Hidden obstructions

The quote/price is based on the assumption that the trees are free from metal, stone or other hidden obstructions. In the event of a tree being impossible to fell in the normal manner, the company reserves the right to re-quote accordingly.

Chipping/Mulching

Chippers are designed to take wood and foliage only. That means we cannot chip metal, stones, soil, roots, rubbish, compost.

Stump Grinding

Stump grinding is the grinding of the stump, which is visible at ground level to a depth of 100mm to 150mm below ground. Stump grindings are left as is on site. We will not be responsible for any underground services unless notified beforehand of their location.
